Verse 1
Saw you lying there on the marble slab
The best trip that I've ever had
Higher than a jet plane, pass it around
My drinks on empty, need another round

Chorus
I want to fly, want to ride with you
Is this the best that you can do?
I want to fly, want to ride with you
High up in a jet plane with you

Verse 2
Will we arrive in the middle of nowhere?
Don't act like you know, I been here so many times
I never seen you before
But now that I have, I don't want to see you no more

High up in a jet plane with you
High up in a jet plane with you

Chorus
I want to fly, want to ride with you
Is this the best that you can do?
I want to fly, want to ride with you
High up in a jet plane with you

Bridge
Ah-ah, auto pilot, no control
Ah-ah, ah
Ah-ah, auto pilot, no control
Ah-ah, ah

High up in a jet plane with you
High up in a jet plane with you

Chorus
I want to fly, want to ride with you
Is this the best that you can do?
I want to fly, want to ride with you
High up in a jet plane with you
I want to fly, want to ride with you
Is this the best that you can do?
I want to fly, want to ride with you
High up in a jet plane with you
I want to fly, want to ride with you
I want to fly, want to ride with you

Rated R

Kuvaus:

Released in 2000, Rated R was Queens of the Stone Age’s first true breakthrough to the mainstream, expanding on the heavy desert-rock sound with instrumentation such as vibrophone, acoustic guitars, horns, and introducing multiple vocalists (being Mark Lanegan and Nick Oliveri, who also played bass on the record).

Due to many of the songs being about drug use and similar topics, the title was a response to what they thought the record label would think of the record, though ironically the use of the “R” rating label allowed the band to bypass getting a parental guidance sticker.

The album has been met with much positive feedback, appearing on multiple “best album” lists and generally receiving high scored reviews.
